By: j | January 6th, 2009With Newcastle’s lineup stricken with injuries, Joe Kinnear has taken the commendable step in keeping an eye towards and giving youngsters Andy Carroll, David Edgar and Kazenga LuaLua a chance to grow with valuable playing time. Each have possess bales of talent, have made noteworthy additions to the lineup recently and with the injury situation not improving the manager is urging them on:
“You have to take these chances in football – just as I did when really when the Newcastle job came up.
“I’ll be telling the young lads that and it’s up to them to do the rest.
“Andy Carroll has done very well in the Reserves this season and we’re hoping he makes the step up, he’s certainly got ability.
“LuaLua is another young player who has caught the eye for the Juniors and Reserves.
“The way things are with injuries these lads are going to be involved so we hope they make the most of it.”
