West Brom visits St James’ Park

By: j | October 27th, 2008

Following Saturday’s historic loss to Sunderland, Newcastle welcomes West Brom to St James’ Park. The Magpie’s sit second from the table bottom with five points and are in desperate need of their second win of the campaign. Tony Mowbray’s West Brom have made a strong return to the Premier League, sitting mid-table but will be looking to reverse the trend of their last two matches which have seen them out-scored seven to none.

Newcastle will be without Michael Owen and Nicky Butt for the match with Filipe Teixeira, Abdoulaye Meite and Kim Do-Heon out for West Brom.

I will report on the match as it concludes.

Finally, a win to celebrate! I thought for sure they’d equalize as the Geordies decided to try and let West Brom come back, but they didn’t have the quality to finish in front of goal and some really nice desperation tackles were made, thank god for the red card being repealed on Beye.
