Weekend Game
By: rich | October 1st, 2007It seems that Newcastle cannot quite get up and running at the minute. The start has been promising however we tend to lose games when we should be getting points from them.
Derby two weeks ago and Man City this weekend are definately proof of that.
We started well enough on Saturday, Oba Martins put us ahead but as per usual we have lacked resilience at the back. After poor marking, Martin Petrov snuck in at the back post and levelled. Emile Mpenza then gave City the lead and after that we never looked like winning. The third was added by Elano, however i could not have any arguments about that belter.
In other news, Barton should be back at the weekend as he is playing a reserves match tomorrow night. Owen could well be back at the weekend aswell, however i wouldnt put money on that one. He might have to have surgery on his left earlobe or something.
