Toon Vs Mackams pt 2
By: rich | November 9th, 2007Right, so one of the most vicious rivalries in modern history begins tomorrow as the two biggest teams in the North East, Newcastle United and Sunderland go head to head to decide who is the best team in the North East.
Now the outcome should be standard……..Newcastle show Sunderland how to play football. However there are a few minor problems in this theory.
1. The Toon cannot win away anywhere outside St James Park. I sometimes wonder whether Newcastle could win at Leazes Park, which is coincidentally, 250 yards from St James. Anyway my point is, our travel sickness tends to let us down and at the end of the season the League Table will most definately reflect this.
2. Newcastle’s sudden inability to defend. At the start of the season, i thought the Toon had shored up there defence. And in large parts they have. However in the last two games, Cacapa’s lack of pace has been glaringly obvious. Beye hasnt seemed interested and generally we have fallen apart at the back.
On a different note, The Toon have Given (groin), Duff (ankle) and Carr (hamstring) out, however Emre should be back but Nicky Butt is suspended.
After last weekends game, i dont want to predict anything. However if your pushing me,
27-2 to the Toon with a Owen double hatrick.
Come on you Toon

Nicky Butt is suspended for yellow card accumulation. Also, Sunderland is on Wearside. :p
