Steven Taylor finally signs!

Thankfully after an extensive wait, Defender Stephen Taylor, a product of the Newcastle Academy since the age of nine, had signed a three-year agreement with the squad through the summer of 2011 in a deal that reputedly sees his weekly salary treble to £35,000. The U-21 England Captain commented, “I am thrilled to have signed this new contract. Newcastle United is my home town club and the only team I’ve ever wanted to play for.”
We can expect his increased role to continue under Kevin Keegan as well as a call-up by Fabio Capello in the near horizon.
