By: j | July 7th, 2008The much talked about £420 m. possible sale of Newcastle United to the American private equity fund InterMedia Partners has been labeled as pure rubbish by the clubs Managing Director Derek Llambias. He further added the new management structure is solidifying the long-term commitment of club and investing in the academy as well as bringing in new players for the first team.
Newcastle owner Mike Ashley’s retail business, “Sports Direct” is set to report full year results on Thursday. EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) is anticipated to be in the £148m range and additional financial disclosure will provide insight into the consolidated debt servicing that may influence this situation.
