The squad has a series of friendlies including a short jaunt to face Hartlepool United of League One on July 19 and the Championship League Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, July 26 at Keepmoat Stadium.
Following that they head for the beautiful Isla de La Palma to take part in the Mallorca Summer Cup with Hertha Berlin, Hannover 96 and RCD Mallorca.

Newcastle United v Hertha Berlin
Sunday, August 3
RCD Mallorca v Newcastle United
Following the tournament the Magpie return home for friendlies at St James’ Park against PSV Eindhoven on August 6 and Valencia on August 9.

That RCD Mallorca friendly might not be so “friendly” for mr. Gutierrez, seeing as he pulled a “Webster” on the poor folks. Any news on this? Last I heard Mallorca was suing Gutierrez for a hefty sum because of his actions.
Oh and nice to see the Toon blog revived

You’re absolutely right with the most unfriendly of friendlies. At this stage no law-suit has been launched but there definitely has been some rumblings. I’ll post more on this once I hear from the club.
