Obafemi Martins out for a month
By: j | January 7th, 2009Newcastle’s striker injury situation worsened as the club revealed Obafemi Martins is out for the next month as he requires a hernia operation. The Nigerian international originally injured his groin against Portsmouth last month but has hoped the injury wasn’t as serious.
While criticism of Newcastle’s medical team by his representative ran rampant online, Obafemi quickly corrected the issue noting he was pleased with the attention he received and that he is “concentrating on is getting fit again as soon as possible so I can be back playing and helping the team.”
