

Magpies sign Kevin Nolan for £4m
By: j | January 30th, 2009With the transfer window ready to close, Newcastle has signed Kevin Nolan from Bolton for £4m. The twenty-six year old veteran, a product of the Wanderers academy will have an immediate positive impact upon the lineup.
Joe Kinnear said of his new man:
“When I heard there was a chance of getting Kevin I was determined we would pull out all of the stops to bring him here.
“He’s a player I think our fans will love. He’s a real inspirational player and a great character. He’s the sort of lad who never knows when he is beaten.
“He’s got a good eye for goal and has got bags of Premier League experience.
“I think he is going to be a very valuable player for us and someone who can help us climb back up the table.”

I’m trying to think if there has been a more surprising move this transfer season. Great addition for the Magpies but it won’t seem right for him not to be with Bolton.
