Joe Kinnear is the new man in charge
By: j | September 26th, 2008Short and sweet to the point but Terry Venables has turned down the Magpie job given the uncertainty of the club and Joe Kinnear, formerly of Wimbledon, has taken the job in a contract that runs till the end of October.
This shouldn’t be construed as anything negative towards Mr. Kinnear but I have no idea what a one-month contract will do for the players. I recognize given the topsy-turvy ownership situation a contract of this length might be appropriate but it will likely not have any impact on the pitch.
