Hammers 2-2 Toon
By: rich | April 28th, 2008After trounching the Mackams and showing people just how we can play, we travelled down to Upton Park to take on the Hammers. It was quite a frenzied affair and on two seperate occasions we had defensive lapses and let in the Hammers for two goals.
However, what impressed me most about this week weekends result is that we dug our heels in and got a point, this is after going 2-0 down. This time 5 months ago, it would have been a different story, with us just making up the numbers for 45 mins while West Ham showed us how to play football.
Luckily, Geremi and Martins had different ideas and we saw a Toon side claw there way back into it.
The last two games of the season should see a blinder against Chelsea and then an easy 0-0 draw at Goodison Park.
On a different note, KK has said he wants new signings in the summer nad has set his sights on several players. With 50m to spend, this should be interesting to say the least.
